CFOs, controllers, and financial decision-makers don't impulse buy. They research, they compare, and they go with the company that earns their confidence first. Your marketing needs to do that heavy lifting before sales ever gets involved.

A deal pulls in the CFO who owns the budget, the finance team who lives in the product, risk and compliance who vet the data, and the board who signs off. Each one needs a different message. Talk only to the budget holder and you stall at compliance review.

Money moves slowly for a reason. Finance buyers research for months and run security and compliance checks before they raise a hand, so your marketing has to nurture that whole window, not just the few ready to talk today.

Every fintech promises to be faster, safer, and smarter. Sounding like everyone else is how you lose a risk-averse buyer. You win with sharp positioning and proof they can trust, not louder adjectives.
The right buyers
Your product wasn't built for every company and your marketing shouldn't target every company either. We get you in front of the specific titles, industries, and company sizes where your product solves a real problem.

faq
There is no single benchmark, and anyone quoting one is averaging businesses that have nothing in common. A consumer app competing on paid social sits in a completely different range than a B2B payments product with six-figure contracts. What matters is CAC payback: how many months of margin it takes to earn the acquisition cost back. Under twelve months is healthy for most B2B fintech. Consumer fintech needs either a much lower CAC or a much longer customer relationship to work at all. We model payback before the first paid campaign goes live, not after the budget is gone.
Assume the visitor is asking whether you are legitimate before they ask whether you are good. That question gets answered by things most fintechs treat as afterthoughts: who regulates or backs you, where the money actually sits, who is on the team under their real names, and what the pricing is without booking a call. Vague copy reads as evasive in this category, even when it is only lazy. So the work is proof and specificity rather than tone, and it belongs in your brand, not in a trust badge at the bottom of the page.
Stop treating review as the last step. The teams that ship fast agree the claims up front: a written list of what can be said about returns, security, timelines and outcomes, approved once and then reused. After that most assets need a check rather than a debate. Bring legal into the brief instead of the final draft, and keep a log of what was rejected and why, so the same argument does not repeat every quarter. We produce content inside those constraints rather than pretending they are not there.
Lead with what the product does and what it costs, in that order. Financial buyers abandon pages that make them work out the offer, and they abandon forms that ask for more than the next step requires. Show the actual interface rather than an illustration of one. Put the security and regulatory detail where a cautious reader will look for it, not buried in the footer. Then test one change at a time, because on a page with this much at stake, guessing is expensive. That is the conversion work we do.
The buyer universe is small enough to name, so broad demand generation wastes money. You are better off targeting a list of institutions and the three or four roles inside each one that matter, usually product, risk and technology. Expect a security questionnaire and a vendor review before anyone talks price, so the material that wins is documentation, not campaigns. Reference customers carry more weight here than in almost any other category, because nobody wants to be first. We build that as a go to market plan rather than a lead volume target.
Usually from three places. Search and AI answers, because people researching financial products read for weeks before they sign up, and that traffic does not reprice every quarter. Partnerships and embedded distribution, where someone else already owns the customer relationship. And your existing base, through referral and expansion, which is almost always cheaper than a new acquisition. None of these replace paid quickly. They take six to twelve months to matter, which is exactly why you start them while paid still works.
